Welcome to QFAC 2009!
The Queen’s Finance Association Conference (QFAC) is an event like no other: it is Canada’s first student-run conference entirely focused on finance and the capital markets. Conceived by students at Queen’s University who were eager to explore the topic beyond financial theories taught within the classroom, the conference provides students with the unique opportunity to network with professionals and explore the wide variety of finance-related careers. The conference’s mission is to provide delegates with practical knowledge of finance and the capital markets in order to facilitate their transition into careers within the financial services industry.
Following a tremendously successful conference in 2008, QFAC 2009 will once again take place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, located in the heart of Toronto’s financial district. QFAC 2009 will attract undergraduate students, from top universities across Canada, who all share a passion for finance. Over the course of four days, November 19th to the 22nd of 2009, QFAC will feature keynote addresses, interactive workshops, and a dynamic stock simulation — in addition to luncheons, dinners and evening social events. Ultimately, the conference will connect bright and driven students with professionals who will open their eyes to the real world of finance.
