Luka is in his second year of the Queen’s Commerce program, and is incredibly excited to serve as a Sponsorship Coordinator for QFAC 2018.
This past summer, Luka worked as the Special Events Coordinator for Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario, a not-for-profit organization in Kingston that focuses on providing support for those affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders. He was responsible for helping organize their annual Pull Together for Epilepsy fundraiser event, which takes place in downtown Kingston every July to promote epilepsy awareness.
At Queen’s, Luka spent his first year as a member of the Men’s Varsity Volleyball team after being recruited from his club and high school team in Whitby, Ontario. This year, Luka has also tremendously enjoyed volunteering for the Autism Mentorship Program, where he mentors an assigned buddy in weekly activities such as basketball, volleyball, and swimming, to help develop motor skills and encourage physical activity. Along with being a youth mentor, he also tutors first-year Varsity-Athletes in the Commerce program.
In his spare time, Luka enjoys playing guitar, hockey, basketball, and travelling. He is also a huge Toronto sports fan, and closely follows the Leafs, Raptors, and Blue Jays. Luka is thrilled to be working alongside QFAC’s 2018 executive team to make this year’s conference a memorable one for everyone involved.
